What Freud Can Teach Us About Item Upgrading

Path of Exile Item Upgrading

The most effective way to improve your equipment in Path of Exile is through upgrade of your items. This allows you to improve it without having to depend on costly trades or drops. This article will show you how to upp your items efficiently.

Upgrades in equipment can add a bonus to the item's base stats. The bonus is depending on the rarity and strength of the upgrade component.

Components

Upgrade components are the items that improve your armor and weapons more effective. They can be obtained by fighting off enemies, locating them in item spheres, or buying them from karma dealers. You can also salvage them from equipment containing the components or through salvage kits of high-end quality, such as Black Lion Salvage Kit and Ascended Salvage Tool. Upgrade components cannot be destroyed when you remove them from an item.

The main purpose of upgrade components is to enable an item to be upgraded, but they also serve other purposes. They can be stacked to increase the level or experience gained by upgrading existing equipment or weapons. They can be made for extra bonuses. For example, a designed glyph will increase the upgrade chance of its target, while a boost upgrade will enhance the defense or attack attribute of a weapon or armor.

You can attach an upgrade template to an item by selecting it from the edition GUI. This will display an upgrade component list that the item can be upgraded to. You can also use the workbench to selecting an upgrade template. In either instance, the item will be upgraded when enough upgrade components are collected.

Each component has a distinct experience multiplier, which determines how much more experience an item receives when it upgrades with the component. For instance, organic components offer a higher experience multiplier than mechanical ones. It is therefore best to upgrade using organic components until you reach the experience multiplier of the next rank of the weapon or gear, then switch to mechanical upgrades.

In addition to the experience multiplier, each item also has a maximum number of upgrades it can receive. The number of upgrades is determined by the upgradeable rank and the upgrade type of the upgradeable item. The highest level of upgrade is a weapon of tier 10. The most commonly used upgrade is a gun of tier 6 and an armor upgrade of tier 5.

Sets

A set is a collection of items which all have the same bonus. Each item can be upgraded at minimum once. The upgrade increases the guaranteed bonuses. When you first upgrade an item, its initial stat will be +1. After subsequent upgrades, the primary stats will be boosted a bit more (for example, +1 up to 12+/13+/14+) Every time you upgrade the item, one of its extra stats will be increased randomly.

Upgrading a weapon can also increase its damage base, which could be important for some builds. However, weapons are not upgraded to have a greater defense level than their base. Upgrading can be a good way to improve the value of some set and unique items, however it's important to note that they might not be better than a high-level runeword in any build.

If you're upgrading an item that has an added bonus, the item can be rerolled a single time, and its guarantee will reset to zero. The same power dies are used to roll an item, just as it would be used to upgrade it. However the new item comes with different bonuses. The NPC [Armor] Boboko can upgrade your armor in Central Flarine. To upgrade an item, you will require a power dice of each type (Dice 4 or 6 drop from monsters 21+ and Giants; Dice 7 drops from bosses) and the proper amount of Minerals and Erons. These are available at the crafting table or the Ultra Collector, and can be purchased with Gold. The NPC will also offer a special reward for each completed tier of the upgrade process. This reward can be rerolled a second time, and the reroll will be made using the same materials used in the original item.

Rerolling

If the player has enough tokens for rerolling, they can roll any item they have acquired during the game. When an upgraded item is being rerolled, it can be exchanged for a version at a level 1 of the same item in a different set. Reroll tokens can be bought from the store for a small amount of in-game currency, however they are not refundable. The new item will offer the same bonuses like the first, however the stats will also differ.

Players can alter the identification of their equipment as well as changing it's roll by interfacing with a NPC upgrader.  item upgrades  will change the identity from an armor to a weapon or vice versa, all the while retaining its base stats and required attributes. The change will last for a long time and affect all characters who own the gear.

Players can also boost the item level of any equipped equipment by acquiring upgrade components and interacting with the NPC who upgrades the item. This will cost a set amount of crests as well as Valorstones dependent on the upgrade track and type.  item upgrader  will add 5percent more damage to weapons.

An upgrade can make it more powerful however it can reduce its effectiveness. It is therefore essential to find a balance between these two. Some items may not be worth upgrading at all and some will require to be upgraded to reach their potential. A player might want to upgrade the breakpoint armor by adding an interesting modifier ( percent block chance or FHR) in order to discover what it could be.

The primary reason people are able to reroll in Genshin Impact, or in any gacha-based game, is that they're trying to get a specific weapon or character that they can't otherwise obtain. These items can be expensive and time-consuming and the RNG gods aren't always willing to play ball. The only options are to invest real money or grind for a long time. Rerolling is very popular in Genshin Impact.

Leveling

When upgrading an item you can pick to level up the weapon or armor. This feature is not available in the current version of the game. I think this feature was created to increase the value of rare and expensive items. However, as most equipment is replaced quickly, and can only be leveled up to a certain level, you will usually replace it before it gets too old. It's also not worth upgrading items using gem sockets, as the power of the gem will outweigh any increase in ilvl.

When you click the upgrade option on an item, you will see a small window with the upgrade template of the item as well as the crest and Valorstone costs to increase the item level. The cost of upgrades will vary based on the armor and weapons as well, with the former typically costing more than the latter. The upgrade template lists the statistics that will be added to the upgraded item. It will also list its current base ilvl.

The crest and Valorstone costs are calculated according to the current ilvl of the item and the upgrade template. The ilvl will also be decreased by the upgrade templates reduction percentage of lvl. For instance, a weapon with an 8% upgrade decrease will reduce its value by 8-8%.

In addition to the base ilvl increase, the item will also receive upgrades in other stats, such as critical strike damage, PvE damage, block, parry and dodge rating. These upgrades are also based on the upgrade template.

In the upgrade template you can check the amount of damage or defense that the item will receive after being leveled up. This is displayed below the cost as well as the upgrade percentages. In addition to practice equipment, all other items and armor get the same stats once leveled up. The market will determine the value of these stats. A weapon or armor with perfect rolls can command an incredibly higher price than an unupp'd version. The same is true for other pieces of armor like circlets and tiaras.
