WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader
Upgrades will give you a boost to specific stats. Each upgrade increases the level of the item by +3. A random extra substat is also boosted alongside every upgrade.
this link modernized gear generally has a higher trade value as long as it meets low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or very high stat variance (like eth titan weapons). These types of gear get less value from upgrading due to the requirement to roll for a perfect model.
Recycle Points
The item upgrader enables players to upgrade gear to a higher level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of weapon or armor. However, the item used for the upgrade will be consumed for the duration of time and can't be used again. Upgrades can be applied to enchantments.
You can upgrade your gear anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To ensure that your equipment is up-to-date, it is recommended that you visit the upgrader every several weeks.
Upgrades can cost more based on the level of the item however they'll always be less expensive than purchasing new equipment. Upgrades like upgrading a Benthic chest to 385 ilvl will cost you 20 recycle points. A similar item will cost you 105.
Valorstones

Upgrades are functional items that can be used to improve the quality of weapons and tools, armor and other accessories. Players can purchase them through NPCs who sell upgrades to item owners for a variety of currencies. They are also available on random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be used on any tool, weapon or armor. button, which will display a preview of the item at its next upgrade level if the player has sufficient materials.
The cost of upgrading varies based on the item slot, and the current level of the item. For example weapons cost more than gloves, bracers, or bracers. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones and a variety of crests, with certain upgrades offering discounts to reduce the cost of the Flightstones or crests used. After an item has been upgraded to a certain amount it can be re-downgraded and sold to the upgrader for a lower price.
Many locations have upgraders for their items, including the main Island and a few outposts. The NPCs provide an upgrade discount and the chance to acquire a new upgrade recipe. The discount for upgrading increases when more items are upgraded. It can also be increased by having players finish certain achievements or quests.
Icewind Dale does not have an item upgrader at the start, unlike Cromwell from Baldur's gate II. Instead, the NPCs that are available to help with upgrades are acquired via several methods that are both an improvement and a drawback.
In Season 3, the upgrade system was tweaked a bit, with some new features added. After a player has earned an upgrade to a certain level for an item in an armor slot, upgrading further items to the same level will be less expensive, even when they belong to an entirely different set of gear.
The discount is available to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests needed to upgrade is also reduced and is not available until players have reached certain milestones in their achievements.
Crests
Players have a variety of options when it comes to upgrading their equipment in WoW. They can choose to use Flightstones that are a common upgrade currency available to all players, or crests, which are more specific and consumed during upgrades on specific item levels. Crests are an important part of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System introduced in version 10.1. They come in four ranks.
The first thing to remember is that crests are only able to be spent on gear of a specific rank, and that each rank has its own requirements for upgrading. The simplest and simplest upgrade route costs 15 crests while the most complicated requires as many as 20 crests depending on the type of gear being upgraded.
Players can obtain crests by completing content of the appropriate level, whether that means walking around and doing outdoor activities to get lower-tier gear, raids or dungeons with all difficulty for items of higher tier or Mythic+ dungeons or heroic raid bosses to obtain endgame gear. These crests can be exchanged with an upgrader for the item such as Cuzolth or Vaskarn in Valdrakken for the appropriate upgrade steps and paths.
The new currency system isn't difficult to use, however it brings some changes to the process of upgrading. For example, once a piece of equipment reaches the highest upgrade level of any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic), it will no longer require Flightstones to be upgraded. This change allows players to upgrade their gear to the highest possible ilvl on all of their characters, instead of relying on seasonal loot.
Another important modification is that crests have one purpose therefore it's essential to use them wisely. For instance it's a good idea utilize all of your Whelpling rank crests on the top gear you have available and keep Drake and Wyrm crests to use for the next set of upgrades you plan to create. This is especially true for items such as trinkets and rings that take up several slots. The discount on the account will only be applicable if all slots on the character are filled with high-quality gear.
